level of Shanghai software industry, matching
with international standards, and carry forward
the software export, initiated by ASTI Shanghai
and Jointed with Shanghai Software Industry
Association (SSQA), Shanghai Software Center
(SSC), Shanghai Software Park, Shanghai PuDong
Software Park (SPSP - The National Software
Industry Base), the Shanghai Software Quality
Consortium (SSQC), and the Shanghai SPIN and
QAI Federation Chapter, the first such international
organizations in China, was established at
Shanghai on January 15, 2001. Prof. Dehua
Ju, CEO of ASTI was elected as the first chairman
of these organizations.
This event got great
response from international community. 18
famous international institutes sent their
congratulations to SSQC, admired "This
is a right step in right direction and right
time", expressed their kind willing in
future cooperation and support. These organizations
include: IEEE Computer Society, ACM, Australia
Computer Society (ACS), ASQ, QAI USA, JUSE,
SEA Japan, JASPIC, CMU/SEI, CMU/CISE, India
Watt Humphrey SQI, IEEE Software and SPIN
France, New York and San Francisco etc.
Since then, SSQC has
held a series of seminars and training activities
on CMM-based SPI, ISO9000, Quality Management,
Project Management, software testing, and
UML-based OO approaches etc. Some speakers
were the international famous SE experts invited
from abroad, including Mr.Steve McConnell,
the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Software and some
CMM Lead Assessors. This year SSQC supported
the AP SEPG Conference on Tour event at Shanghai,
sponsored by CMU/SEI and QAI India.
